After receiving my JD, I intend to enter the field of International
Law. Being a mason has taught me to have a social responsibility,
and my goal is to apply that responsibility in an international
setting. I want to pursue a career in International Law to
learn about different cultures and legal systems in a spirit to
promote international understanding and cooperation.

My career aspiration is to combine my business experience
and legal education by working in the real estate industry. In the
short term, I envision myself doing transactional real estate work
at a law firm or serving as in-house counsel for a real estate company.
In the long term, I would like to transition to the deal side of
the industry.

I plan to pursue criminal law and become a defendant's
attorney. My hope is to provide my future clients with competent
representation that they can afford. I plan to serve communities
on the south side of the city of Chicago. |

After earning my JD from Loyola University Law School,
I plan to work in the sub-field of health law, preferably on the
international front. As soon as I finish my core requirements at
Loyola, I will specify my degree by focusing on administrative,
business, and of course health law related courses. I will give
you another update as soon as I learn more about my specific areas
of focus.

While I do not yet know what I specifically want
to do, I hope to be able to return to my hometown of Effingham to
begin my legal career. I spent three summer with the Effingham
County States Attorney and enjoyed my time working in criminal law.
In the classroom, I have focused on business law. I am interested
in and open to pursuing a career in either criminal or business
law.

As a first year student, I am actively exploring
my options in the legal community. Upon graduation, I hope to enter
into a legal career providing valuable services to the public, focusing
my skills on the areas of Taxation or Estate Planning. An integral
aspect of my career will be dedicated to providing services pro
bono to Chicago's legal aid programs. |
