I will return to southern Illinois to practice law in the fields of health care and elder law. Eventually, I would like to open my own practice and represent those who are in need of a health care advocate to facilitate care as well as work with the legislature, organizations and private corporations to create policies and practices that are conducive to quality care and patient autonomy.

Upon graduating from the University of Illinois College of Law, I plan to pursue a career in health law. As the healthcare landscape shifts, I believe that new legal opportunities will continue to develop in the next 5 to 10 years. In particular, I would like to have a hand in shaping legislation and policies relating to healthcare via a government or public interest job.

After earning my JD from Loyola University Law School, I plan to work in the sub-field of health law, preferably on the international front. As soon as I finish my core requirements at Loyola, I will specify my degree by focusing on administrative, business, and of course health law related courses. I will give you another update as soon as I learn more about my specific areas of focus.

Sarah Moore
DePaul University College of Law, Class of 2014
Associated with Sherwood Masonic Lodge
After earning my JD, I want to serve family law clients at the highest level and make a difference for families and children going through divorce and child custody battles. I also want to improve existing laws so children are truly the primary focus during difficult family situations. I am also interested in intellectual property law. As a person who is constantly coming up with ideas for the next invention or development of an existing product, I would like to help other inventors protect their ideas and learn more about this exciting area of practice. Finally, I would like to be a creative force in the development of improved software applications for attorneys to keep track of client information and case statistics.

Amber Porter
University of Illinois College of Law, Class of 2014
I am pursuing a Juris Doctorate degree to better aid the community and to advocate for social justice. I hope to gain post-graduate employment doing government or public interest work. My ultimate goal would be to work for The Department of Justice on criminal or civil issues.

Matthew M. Rossetti
IIT Chicago-Kent School of Law, Class of 2012
Associated with Lodge No. 536 – Plainfield, IL; Scottish Rite — Valley of Chicago
I plan on practicing law in the state of Illinois, with a focus on class action, mass tort, personal injury, and workers' compensation law. Further, I am in the process of founding a company that is a new tech start-up. I also plan on continuing my work with politicians at the local level in proposing, drafting, and lobbying for small-business-friendly legislation that encourages economic growth and entrepreneurship within the city of Chicago.

Kevin Lynn Stewart
St. Louis University School of Law, Class of 2014
Associated with Lodge No. 477 – Rogersville, MO
As a previous emergency room employee, I plan on taking full advantage of Saint Louis University's Health Law program. Subsequently, I plan on providing legal services to seniors who otherwise would not be able to afford it. With the health care industry evolving almost daily, it can be very difficult to figure out your patient rights. Therefore, I hope to alleviate any confusion about our health care system and stand by those who need assistance the most -our seniors.
