Scholarship recipients must be current or incoming students in good standing at a law school in the state of Illinois or within the metropolitan areas of Milwaukee, Wisc., or St. Louis, Mo. Candidates will be considered only after we have received a completed application and documentation of their financial position and level of need.
During the selection process, preference is given to members of Masonic Lodge No. 1098 in Lombard, Illinois, their sons and daughters, former residents of the Masonic Children’s Home in La Grange, Illinois, and those who are Masons or who come from Masonic families.
Scholarships may be renewed each year until graduation, provided the student can verify continued financial need and good standing as a law student.
The Darleen J. and Robert L. Walker Scholarship Fund is an Illinois not-for-profit corporation established pursuant to the Last Will and Testament of Robert L. Walker. The current directors of the corporation are Ms. Teri Sinon and attorneys James Reichardt and Nicholas Nelson.
For the 2015-2016 school year, the scholarship committee will meet and review all completed applications received by June 26, 2015. Applicants may be asked to participate in a face-to-face interview at the offices of the Fund in Villa Park, Illinois. Scholarship winners will be notified no later than August 15.
